Arra beach is one of the most atypical of the area and is just around the corner from Carmen 8 country house so it is an ideal place to stay to discover the beach. Only accesible by foot, over fields and pasture lands that take you to the edge of the cliff, we descend some steep stairs and arrive at the sea. The last section is not always easy, in the winter the sea tries to protect itself from visitors and destroys the access. But once on the beach, the tranquility and the wonders that we find between it's rocks compensate our efforts. Created by movement in the tectonic plates at the end of the Jurassic period, Arra beach still hides secrets and footprints from that time. Stay in Carmen 8 country house and try to discover them.

The location of this house allows to know very well the oriental region of Asturias in few minutes of car and excursions of half a day. The northern entrances to Picos de Europa (Covadonga and Arenas de Cabrales) are less than 30 minutes from the house. Also being in Covadonga can visit the lakes of Covadonga going up a winding road and narrow for 11 km. although the reward of the visual spectacle well deserves it.
In full day excursions there are many more possibilities, Beaches of San Vicente de la Barquera, Cuevas del Soplao, Potes and Fuente Dé, Santailla del Mar, Comillas and even Santander (in Cantabria), and The Jurassic Museum in Colunga, Gijón and Oviedo, Llanes, Gulpiyuri Beach in Naves, village of Cuevas in Ribadesella, Mirador del Fito (in Asturias). And hurrying the day much, Las Catedrales Beach in the east of Lugo or Guggenheim Museum of Bilbao.
