Located in a small village in the east of Asturias, 4km from the beach, 30 minutes from the Picos de Europa and less than an hour from central Asturias.

Description Rural Houses at Porrua (Asturias)

The rural house El coteru Lines is located in the village of Porrua, halfway between the sea and the mountain. Porrúa is less than two kilometres in a straight line from the beach of Poo and the three of Celorio, and approximately five kilometres from the four beaches of Barro and Niembro.

It has well-preserved traditional neighbourhoods with interesting buildings of Indian or popular architecture. The Plaza del Parque has a circular structure, bordered by intertwined bananas, and in its centre is a kiosk in the rationalist style. It celebrates important events for the life of the town: fair of cattle of Asturian race of mountain, pilgrimage and verbena of San Justo and San Pastor, and Astur Market. It is a livestock village whose life and customs cannot be understood without the nearby mountains.

Situation

Atractivos del entorno:
This house is located three kilometers from the beaches of Celorio and four from the beach of Poo which is well known in this area of Asturias for being perfect for children.
Porrua is a very rustic place at the foot of the Sierra del Cuerra and enjoys a wooded area known as "Mañanga de Porrua" ideal for walks and see wildlife with a bit of luck.
Llanes the capital of the council is about 5 km and there you can visit the Paseo de San Pedro and the Cubes of Memory of the painter Ibarrola, in addition to taking a walk through the old town and the port.
Llanes enjoys a beautiful golf course with views over the sea and the Sierra, in addition to two wonderful beaches, one of them within the urban case (the Sablón) and another less than 600 myts that is called Toró.
Of course you can make many day trips to Picos de Europa, Covadonga, Cangas de Onis, Lagos, Cabrales, Poncebos, Senda del Cares, Funicular de Bulnes, Desfiladero de la Hermida, Potes, Fuente Dé, Comillas, Santillana del Mar, Cueva del Soplao, reproduction of the Caves of Altamira, Parque de la Naturaleza de Cabárceno, Museo del Jurásico de Asturias, Pueblos marineros de Lastres y Tazones, and of course taste the local gastronomy in any of the many restaurants, cider houses, snack bars and tapas bars that abound everywhere.
