This house is located on the southern slope of the Sierra del Cuera in the Caldueño valley, a quiet place in the middle of nature where it is still possible to see wildlife such as griffon vultures or buzzards that sometimes fly over it.
It is halfway between the beaches of San Antolín, Barro, Niembro and Torimbia and to the south of Arenas de Cabrales and Poncebos, the northern gateway to Picos de Europa.
In Poncebos you will find the beginning of the well-known Senda del Cares which ends 11 km further on in the village of Caín in León. Also in Poncebos you can take the funicular that will take us to the village of Bulnes which until recently could only be climbed on foot.
From Poncebos, by road, you can go up to Sotres, one of the highest villages in Asturias, where you can enjoy a wonderful cheese from Cabrales in Casa Cipriano.
